Nicola the Joint Principal has been teaching for Drama Kids (formerly Helen O'Grady Drama Academy) for over 20 years, firstly as a teacher and as a Principal for 18 years. In 2018 Nicola become a Training Supervisor for Drama Kids, training Principals across the network.
Nicola trained at the East 15 acting school and gained a BA Honours in Acting. Most recently as an actress, her experience has been in TV commercials and film. Previously, she has worked in musical theatre and corporate acting work and has toured the UK performing in theatre and educational productions in primary and secondary schools and also leading workshops. Nicola is the Singing and Music Director for the charity "Kissing it Better" working with local schools, coordinating events for Hospitals, care homes and singing for NHS events, sometimes with her son. In 2017 they appeared in a BBC documentary together about the charity’s work with older people. Nicola teaches: Stoke Newington (Saturday Classes). |
Andrew the Joint Principal has over 16 years teaching experience with Drama Kids North London (formerly Helen O'Grady North London).
Andrew trained at the East 15 acting school where he gained a BA Honours in Acting, after which, he has become a successful actor in TV Commercials in the UK and across Europe. He is often on TV demonstrating his comedy skills. Most recently Andrew can be seen on Eastenders and The Crown S5. He also worked as a drama teacher at the Method Studio (formerly the Lee Strasburg Acting School) specialising as a Shakespeare tutor. He also worked as a writer of song links for a BBC radio 1 DJ. Nicola and Andrew are a husband and wife-team. They have two boys who also attend the Academy! Andrew teaches: Walthamstow, Edmonton & Stoke Newington (Friday classes) & Chingford. |
Michael started as a pupil of Drama Kids North London (formerly Helen O’Grady Drama Academy) when he was 5 years old and continued with the classes until the age of 18. He has since been working in the office and has worked his way up to Office Administrator. Michael started teaching classes last year and has proved to be a very popular teacher who the children love!
In the last couple of years Micheal has also started working as a Learning Support Assistant in a North London Primary School.
Michael’s also enjoys photography and digital media editing, he is an IT Technician and also makes Origami!
